No single board makes a wall soundproof. Real sound reduction comes from the whole assembly: mass, separation, absorption and sealing. We build acoustic wall and ceiling assemblies that combine these properly.
Sound travels through structure and through air. Stopping it means adding mass (extra layers of board), breaking the connection between surfaces (resilient channels or clips), absorbing sound in the cavity (insulation) and sealing every gap.

Each has a different target. Keeping movie sound in a basement theatre is different from muffling footsteps between floors, and the assembly should match the goal.
Soundproofing reduces sound; it rarely eliminates it. Low-frequency bass is the hardest to stop. We will tell you honestly what a given assembly can achieve before you commit to it.
